What are the system requirements?+
BeyondSEO requires WordPress 6.5 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer, and is tested up to WordPress 7.0. Only single-site WordPress installations are supported today — Multisite support is planned for a future release.
How do I install BeyondSEO?+
In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New, search for "BeyondSEO", click Install and then Activate. You can start optimizing content immediately inside the WordPress editor. If your host blocks the plugin directory, you can also upload the .zip from WordPress.org manually under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Is the plugin really free?+
Yes. The plugin — including all SEO and technical SEO functionality — is free forever, with no account required. Connecting a free rankingCoach account unlocks additional visibility and marketing features at no cost. Some advanced automation and AI-powered workflows are available through optional paid rankingCoach plans.
Do I need a rankingCoach account?+
No. All SEO and technical SEO functionality in BeyondSEO works directly inside WordPress without any account. Connecting a free rankingCoach account is fully optional and unlocks Google and keyword tracking, competitor monitoring, review monitoring, and brand mention monitoring.
Do I need the plugin to use rankingCoach with WordPress?+
No. rankingCoach also works as a standalone web app without anything installed in WordPress. You can use it directly at www.rankingcoach.com. The BeyondSEO plugin is the recommended way to bring SEO, listings, reviews, and social media workflows directly into WordPress — but using the plugin is completely optional.
Is rankingCoach loaded inside WordPress?+
Yes, but only after you connect a rankingCoach account. The BeyondSEO plugin itself works directly inside WordPress without loading external rankingCoach services. Connecting a free rankingCoach account unlocks keyword tracking, Google visibility monitoring, competitor insights, listings visibility, review monitoring, and brand mention monitoring directly inside WordPress. Some advanced marketing and AI workflows may require a rankingCoach 360 plan.
What is included in the free plugin?+
Content SEO audits with live scoring, metadata optimization (titles, descriptions, Open Graph), readability and header structure analysis, keyword usage optimization, URL and canonical support, schema markup, robots.txt management, breadcrumbs, broken link and redirect audits, social sharing previews, image optimization recommendations and technical SEO recommendations — all inside the WordPress editor.
Is it compatible with my theme and page builder?+
Yes. BeyondSEO is compatible with Gutenberg, Elementor and most modern WordPress themes and plugins. It writes to standard WordPress fields, so your builder and theme keep full control of the layout.
Does it conflict with other SEO plugins?+
BeyondSEO is a standalone SEO and marketing solution. We recommend running one SEO plugin at a time to avoid duplicate meta tags and schema output. If you currently use another SEO plugin, deactivate it before activating BeyondSEO to centralize SEO, technical SEO, listings, reviews and social workflows in a single plugin.
What about privacy?+
BeyondSEO does NOT communicate with external servers by default — backend communication is opt-in and only happens after you explicitly enable it. You can toggle this anytime under Settings → General Settings → "Allow communication with rankingCoach services". All transmissions are secured with encrypted connections and HMAC-SHA256 request signing.
Why do I need to allow third-party cookies?+
To use the embedded BeyondSEO dashboard inside WordPress, your browser must allow third-party cookies. This enables secure communication between your WordPress admin and the integrated dashboard.
Why do you need my business address during onboarding?+
Your business address is used to generate local SEO insights and accurate competitive benchmarks — identifying the right competitors, keywords, and categories for your region. This data is never made public and is only used for internal analysis to improve your results.
Will it slow down my website?+
No. BeyondSEO is performance-optimized and follows WordPress development best practices. Assets are only loaded inside WordPress where they are needed and no front-end scripts are injected for your visitors.
Can I uninstall anytime?+
Yes — there is no lock-in. You can deactivate or delete BeyondSEO at any time from Plugins → Installed Plugins in WordPress. Deactivating immediately stops all communication with rankingCoach and leaves your WordPress content untouched. When deactivating, you can optionally delete all project data and settings tied to your connected rankingCoach project; deleting the plugin also removes its data from your WordPress database.
Which countries is BeyondSEO available in?+
BeyondSEO is currently available in 60+ countries across North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Australia. Support for more regions will be added in future updates.
Does BeyondSEO support agencies and web professionals?+
Yes. BeyondSEO is built for businesses, content creators, freelancers, agencies, and WordPress professionals managing one or many WordPress sites. Dedicated agency workflows were introduced in version 1.2.0.
